The Foundation collected more than twenty boxes of reading books from Rotary Club Bedford View and Investment South Africa, bringing the gift of stories to children who needed them most.
These books were donated to Ikageng Primary School, a no-fee school in Ga-Rankuwa, north of Pretoria. Through this initiative, the school was able to establish a library and reading clubs for different classes, helping to promote a culture of reading among learners.
What began as a collection of donated books became the foundation of a reading revolution. Learners who previously had limited access to books now had a dedicated space to explore, imagine, and grow through stories. Reading clubs were formed for different classes, creating structured opportunities for children to engage with literature, share their thoughts, and build confidence in their reading abilities.
The Principal, Mr I. Matlhoko, expressed heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed to this meaningful effort in support of reading and learning at the school.
This initiative was made possible through the generosity of Rotary Club Bedford View, Investment South Africa, and Standard Bank, whose support reminds us that when communities come together around education, every child benefits.
