Dr. KeDiBone Mokwena
Our Story

A Foundation Born from Belief

The Dr. KeDiBone Mokwena Foundation was born from a simple conviction: that when we invest in young people, we plant seeds of lasting change.

Founded in South Africa, the foundation works across townships and rural communities, partnering with schools, local organisations, and volunteers to deliver programmes that matter.

What began as one woman's vision has grown into a network of programmes touching over 1,200 lives through literacy, food security, mentorship, and direct community care.

We are NPO 317-631, fully registered and committed to transparent, ethical impact.

Publication

Granny's Garden Tour

A children's book that uses the garden as a living classroom to teach strength, patience, gratitude, and growth.

Published in 2025, Granny's Garden Tour has already reached parents, Early Learning Centres, and schools across South Africa. It is truly humbling to see parents reading it to and with their children.

Every purchase helps us continue the work of the Dr. KeDiBone Mokwena Foundation, nurturing young minds and growing resilience in communities.

2026: Reaching Communities Across SA

The Foundation has declared 2026 a year of reaching out to communities throughout South Africa.

In June 2026, Granny's Garden Tour travelled to the Free State to engage Grade 5 learners in a practical gardening workshop. Children learned about good soil, healthy soil practices, and caring for the earth.

This is more than a workshop. It is a living classroom where children learn resilience, responsibility, gratitude, and the value of nurturing life from the soil up.
